Warranty
Warranty on Skyleader Products (the “Warranty”)
Skyleader warrants that its products (each a “Product”) will be free from defects in materials or workmanship under normal use, subject to the following terms:
- Mode 2 and Mode 4U GPS rings and their accessories: Warranty period of one (1) year from the date of receipt.
- Mode 2 and Mode 4U batteries: Warranty period of six (6) months from the date of receipt.
- Mode C series products with embedded batteries: Warranty period of six (6) months from the date of receipt.
If a Product fails during the applicable warranty period under normal use, andis determined to have a defect caused by Skyleader, Skyleader will, at its sole option, replace the defective Product or accessory at no charge to the Customer. Cosmetic damage, external housing damage, or wear from normal use are not covered.
When the Warranty Does Not Apply
This Limited Warranty will not apply in the following cases:
- The Product or accessory serial number has been removed, erased, defaced, altered, or is illegible.
- Damage resulting from use not in accordance with the user manual or outside of normal operating conditions, including but notlimited to crushing, impact, dropping, moisture, immersion in water, high temperature, foreign object intrusion, or missing components.
- Cosmetic deterioration such as scratches or wear caused by normal use.
- Damage due to accidents, natural disasters (such as fire, flood, or earthquake), or otherforce majeure.
- Battery malfunction caused by improper insertion or removal leading to bent or damaged contacts.
- Human error including accidents, misuse, unauthorized modifications, or power supply issues.
- Repairs, disassembly, or modifications performed by personnel not authorized by Skyleader, or use of non-original parts or accessories.
- Software, maps, or third-party equipment are excluded from coverage.
- Account binding: Each Mode 2 or Mode 4U GPS ring can only be bound to one account. Requests to unbind will incur a service fee. Issues caused by account binding are not covered under the warranty return policy.
- Water resistance: Products are designed for splash-proof use. They are not guaranteed to withstand a pigeon bath; water ingress caused by bathing is excluded.
Additional Notes
- Skyleader reserves the right to refuse warranty service if the Product has been obtained or used in violation of any applicable laws.
- Warranty claims must be filed through Skyleader customer support. Products returned without prior authorization will not be accepted.
- Products are intended solely as aids to pigeon training and are not guaranteed for precise measurement of direction, distance, location, or terrain. Skyleader makes no warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of any map data included with the Product.
- If a Product is eligible for replacement within the warranty period, the Customer is responsible for return shipping and any duties or tariffs charged by their country. Skyleader will cover the shipping cost of the replacement unit back to the Customer.
